Terms of Use
Last updated 10 September 2026.
These terms cover your use of manchestertourism.org. Reading the site means accepting them. They are short, because there is not much to agree to: this is a free reference site with nothing to buy and no account to open.
The guides are information, not advice
Everything published here is researched carefully and checked against primary sources before it goes up. None of it is professional advice, and none of it is a guarantee. Travel decisions you make on the strength of a guide are yours.
This matters more in Manchester than the disclaimer usually implies. Tram fares and contactless caps are revised. Museums close galleries for refurbishment at short notice. Stadium tours are cancelled on matchdays and around fixture changes. Arena bag policies tighten between one tour and the next. Restaurants in the Northern Quarter open and close on a timescale no guide can keep pace with. Before you travel, spend, or build a day around something, confirm it with the operator — the guides link to them for exactly that reason.
Accuracy and liability
We make no warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free, and the site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on anything published here, from the site being unavailable, or from your dealings with any business mentioned in a guide. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Third-party sites and businesses
Outbound links are provided so you can verify details at source. They are not endorsements, we do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability or their terms. A hotel, venue or operator described in a guide has no relationship with this site beyond being written about; any contract you enter into is with them alone.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, including accommodation links served through Stay22. If you book after following one, Manchester Tourism Guide receives a commission from the booking provider. You pay no more than you would going direct, and a commission never buys coverage, a recommendation or a position in a ranking.
It changes nothing about the relationship described above. A hotel or operator you book with is contracting with you, not with us; we take no booking and hold no money; and a commission paid afterwards by the booking platform gives us no standing in your reservation and no ability to change it.
Using our content
The text of the guides, the site’s structure and its original photography are our copyright. You are welcome to read them, print a page for your own trip, and quote a short extract with a visible credit and a working link back to the page it came from. You may not republish a guide in whole or in substantial part, translate it, sell it, or use it to train a model or to generate derivative content at scale, without written permission.
Some images are used under licence from their photographers or copyright holders. Those rights stay with them and do not transfer with the quoting permission above.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to interfere with the site or the server it runs on, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other readers, or use the contact form to send bulk or automated messages. Comments are closed site-wide, so there is no facility here for reader-submitted content.
Changes
These terms may be revised; the current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised version. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Questions about any of this go through the contact page. See also our privacy policy.
